Concerning Orcas: Not good enough. "Let my people go"

SeaWorld has not been having a good year: to put it lightly. Whilst other theme parks are thriving, SeaWorld is struggling to keep hold of a decent-ish reputation. I've already written about why in a past post: Blackfish. Now, to combat the intense criticism against captive orcas, SeaWorld has come up with this. They will build a bigger cage.

Do you see the issue with this proposal? A bigger CAGE. Just because it's a bigger cage, doesn't make it not a cage. You'd think they'd understand that.  Small cage, medium cage, big cage, it doesn't matter, none of them are the open sea. Their home. In the past post I wrote about orca intelligence, almost comparable to humans. Would placing a human in a bigger cage make it any less immoral? If the answer is no for a human, why should it be yes for an orca? Or any other highly intelligent animal for that matter. We call these animals intelligent, for some thing we hold them to our same standards, yet for others we conveniently turn the tables on them.

Why should we subject animals to things, any human would sue for?
